| VNC Viewer |
| Download or run VNC Viewer from: vncviewer.exe |
| In the connection-screen fill in the Target Servername or IP address followed by the Display-number, ask the administrator for this number if you are not familiar with it. |
| The next screen will ask you the password
for the VNC session. This is NOT you password of the operatingsystem! |
| When connected it is just like you are using the screen, keyboard and mouse of the target-server. The Performance will depend on linespeed and video-settings. |
| Do not forget to logoff from the target-server before ending the VNC-session. |
| Install VNC |
| download VNC from: vnc-3.3.3.6-x86_win32.exe |
| Unzip in own folder |
| Run Setup |
| From the <drive> : \Program
Files\ORL\VNC run the program WINVNC.EXE with the option -install. (You can do this by opening the RUN box and then browse to the exe-file.) |
| A message will appear that the service has been installed. |
| Start the service from Controlpanel->Services the service is called VNC Server. |
| After starting the service some default settings are asked |
| Allow connections to port 2 (not automatic) |
| Set a password for the sessions |
| Although the setup tells you to, no reset is necessary |
