** An old girl, we will call her Annie, is an "expert" (for her family) on the computer and wants all her documents stay clean. She told us:
> "I had to make a copy of a document of my music teacher with chords on it so I could study them. So I put the original in my "old" fax machine and pressed copy. Next, to keep it neat, I put the copy in my sealing machine. But then..... I couldn't read any of the chords anymore. Some kind of copyright?!?"
* Her neighbor, another computer wiz kid, told her that the ink in the paper.....
 

> "After we moved to an other office I connected the printer to my own computer, but it is not working."
* To your own computer?... but it's a network-printer.
> "Well....... it was connected to my computer before..."
* "Okay, we'll have a look."
** It was connected to her own computer all right... the powercord from the printer was plugged in to the power-unit of her PC. :-)

> My monitor is out of order!
* Isn't it working at all?
> There are only some blue horizontal lines
* Hmmm... so it is plugged in.  I'll send you someone with a new monitor. He will be there in just a few minutes.
** after 20 minutes John returned from that customer with the same monitor in his hands that he left with.
    "All I had to do is switch her computer on!"

> Our new server is only working on two segments.
* How many Network adapters are there in your server?
> There are four 3com cards in it. They are working fine!
* Well, I'll come over to have a look at your system.
** After 1 hour of testing all the other equipment, our engineer decided to get some standard network adapters out of his car and replaced the 3com cards.
Thank you Mr 3com, that your cards are NOT compatible!!!
